Centralized Process

Trial sponsor relations and communication

We act as a single, central point of contact for trial sponsors to benefit both the sponsors and the trial sites. Streamlined communication helps keep processes efficient and productive as we explore new trial opportunities and advocate for individual sites.

Feasibility & review

The central Exigent database enables us to run data queries to determine the feasibility of a study and identify patients for inclusion. We also assess individual sites to determine the capacity and capability to participate in a particular study.

Master agreements

Master clinical trial agreements (MCTA) are put in place at the network level to expedite the process of opening a clinical trial at a site. Pre-negotiated parameters can dramatically expedite negotiations when a site decides to open a study.

Central regulatory

Exigent submits to the IRB on behalf of sites in order to facilitate the study start-up process. We maintain a central IRB document housing platform and cover the costs of these submissions for individual sites.

Single budget & contract

Our in-house contract and budget negotiation team ensures there are always adequate resources for all sites participating in a trial. Since all participants are covered under a single contract, sites are able to focus on other study start-up tasks.

There’s power in numbers of the Exigent Research network. We have significant negotiating power and access to cutting-edge trials thanks to our consortium of dozens of independent oncology practices in communities across the country.

Accelerated Trials on Demand™

Through Exigent’s ATOD process, we can open a trial at the network level and quickly get a site activated when a qualified patient is found. This just-in-time method enables us to match trials as patients need them, instead of the other way around.

Pragmatic trials

The Exigent portfolio is made up of multiple innovative, cutting-edge, and financially sensible trials. We continue to develop programmatic support in order to offer access to trials that sites in the Exigent network want.

Observational trials

We have a dedicated team to finding, developing, and implementing observational trails, which can be a significant source of revenue for sites. We centralize many administrative tasks in these studies to ensure low burden and high accruals for sites.

Network of practices & patient population data

All practices in the Exigent network share their data with our data warehouse. We use this information to specifically conduct research that brings financial return to our practices, while advancing our collective understanding of medicine and trends.

Real-world data projects

Custom data queries allow us to see how treatments are used and how patients fare in everyday care. These protocols deliver insight into off-label uses, cost benefit analysis, risk assessment, and more useful information which we disseminate across our network.

Data warehouse tools

Our EMR-agnostic data warehouse contains automated tools that continuously source data from multiple feeds, including NGS testing. These powerful tools enable Exigent to automatically identify and screen patients who qualify for specific studies.

Shared best practices

Within our network, groups of researchers from our national sites meet regularly to share their own best practices, insights, trend analysis, and pain points. These discussions advance our collective knowledge and help practices avoid inefficient processes.
